Professional History

Annika is a distressed credit specialist, with experience spanning investment origination, restructuring, portfolio management and exits across China and the broader Asia-Pacific.

She combines rigorous fundamental analysis with hands-on deal execution, and specialises in complex, cross-border situations where protecting value for stakeholders is paramount. Annika has a strong history across restructuring, asset management and risk roles at leading global institutions.

Selected Experience

Evaluated Asian investment opportunities across private and public markets through fundamental research, extensive due diligence, financial modelling, valuation and transaction analysis, and prepared investment memoranda across a range of industries for the investment committee.

Oversaw the full investment lifecycle of Asian portfolio companies, from origination and active monitoring through to exit, assessing financial performance, valuation, industry trends and macroeconomic conditions to identify the optimal exit window and maximise returns while ensuring compliance with fund mandates.

Worked with external advisors on deal negotiation, valuation and the implementation of restructuring schemes on mandates exceeding US$1 billion.

Advised funds on investment and restructuring strategies internationally, including in connection with investigations.

Managed restructuring projects, drafting restructuring proposals and leading multilateral negotiations with creditors and investors, together with associated loan restructurings and valuations.

Undertook financial, legal and operational due diligence and valuations for debt origination, drafted offering memoranda and secured the relevant regulatory approvals.

Evaluated investment opportunities with the private equity team using LBO and valuation models, assessing value creation through sensitivity analyses of cash flows and debt capacity.

Supported chief operating and chief financial officers in alternative investments with product design, market analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business development tracking.

Built economic and valuation models to benchmark profit margins and returns on assets, and performed economic analyses of multinational enterprises in the financial services, energy, industrial machinery and pharmaceutical industries.
